Yup. No sensible reason what so ever to let Muslims establish places of worship in their communities or to establish legal dominions over "other people". That would certainly interfere with all that "historical" dogma that leads us to belief we established this as a "Christian" nation. While conveniently ignoring this line... "Where the preamble declares, that coercion is a departure from the plan of the holy author of our religion, an amendment was proposed by inserting "Jesus Christ," so that it would read "A departure from the plan of Jesus Christ, the holy author of our religion;" the insertion was rejected by the great majority, in proof that they meant to comprehend, within the mantle of its protection, the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and Mohammedan, the Hindoo and Infidel of every denomination."

Oh right, I forgot, we certainly don't want anything to do with studying the philosophies and opinions of Thomas Jefferson (or, often worse, Tom Paine) as Americans. Because that guy was such a terrible influence and couldn't have had anything useful to say about the tenets of liberalism on which the country was largely founded (that is individual liberties left unmolested by tyrannical controls of government and authoritarians, sometimes including religious actors operating with the state to impose power or control). He only did most of the heavy lifting to write the most significant document to the reasons for the founding of a new nation. Surely that won't matter at all what his thoughts on the matters of how that nation should be arranged in its relationship between free individuals, the state, and the powers of religious agents amplified by wielding the state as a truncheon of disapproval rather than as a mere statement of it.

Still though, what the hell is NASA doing conducting an outreach program?
Scratch that, what the hell do we have NASA for still?

Seemed like there were a couple useful national/human goals, with Russians or Europeans who had an actual space program of their own. Maybe we'll go back to the moon with Iranian astronauts? I don't see how that's the kind of thing the people who are all about NASA (read: neo-conservatives and other arch-nationalists) want happening either.
